The Centellax Parallel PRBS Generation System is designed for use in high-speed computer motherboard or backplane environments where multiple jittered and unjittered signals need to be generated. The system is built around a synthesizer ranging from 500MHz to 7GHz, or 500MHz to 13.5GHz. With the addition of modular hardware, the SP10 system can be configured to address a wide range of physical layer digital signal integrity test applications.

The base system is configured to generate PRBS signals from 500Mbps to 7Gbps, ideal for eye-mask characterization or production test of high-bitrate cable assemblies and sophisticated connectors. System options enable jitter injection, spread spectrum clocking, an extended clock range covering 500Mbps to 13.5Gbps, multi-channel PRBS generation, and even BER testing. The synthesizer is controlled through a GPIB interface for automated test control.

The SP10 system can be used as a simple parallel PRBS generator testbed, to increase production test capacity, or for multi-channel crosstalk analysis with a BER test option (to test the victim channel), and multiple PRBS generators (as aggressors). Other applications include mass data generation for testing high-throughput processors, or as a multi-channel source for higher-rate testing when coupled with a multiplexer.

The SP10 system comes with a standard 1 year warranty on all modular components. An extended system warranty - which extends the warranty on each component an additional year - is available at any time while the system is still under warranty.
