Press Release - Centellax Announces Outstanding Results of New 32G Stressed Serial BERT

 

SANTA ROSA, CALIF.----December 28, 2011—

Centellax delivered the first shipments of their recently-released 32 Gb/s Stressed Serial BERT Solution (model #SSB32) in November and feedback from customers has been exceedingly well-received. This new solution, intended for serial data test requirements for 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) standards, offers the most affordable test setup for users requiring FEC testing at the full 32 Gb/s data rate.

The SSB32 system contains a serial BERT controller (SSB16000 or SSB16000J) and full-rate pattern generator (PG32) and error detector (ED32) remote-mountable heads. These heads operate from 4-32 Gb/s, providing a significant advantage for customers who need FEC encoding on their devices. Whereas most 100G solutions only operate up to 28 or 30 Gb/s, the SSB32 has the extra bandwidth required for testing the raw data rate and the additional FEC.
