Product Release
SANTA ROSA, July 2007 - Centellax Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance low-cost test equipment and telecom components, offers two new braodband amplifiers to meet current high-speed market needs.
Centellax offers a variety of Modulator Driver Amplifiers operating from DC to 65GHz for use in SONET OC-768 / STM-256 Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3), Electro-Absorption (EA), and Mach-Zehnder optical modulator applications. Our newest offerings include the OA4SMM4, a dual channel 43Gb/s modulator driver amplifier, and the OA5MVM, an ultra-broadband driver amplifier for 100GbE applications.
The OA4SMM4 is a dual channel high performance broadband 43Gb/s Lithium Niobate or Electro-Absorption optical modulator driver amplifier with very low jitter, 4.5V amplitude, with excellent gain, group delay flatness, and well matched to 65GHz. It is designed for electro-optical test equipment and SONET OC-768 / STM-256 optical modulator driver applications. It is available with DC bias tee or peak amplitude detector options, but not both at the same time.
The OA5MVM is a high performance ultra-broadband amplifier designed especially for 56Gb/s Mach-Zehnder or Lithium Niobate optical modulator driver applications. Its exceptional performance and small size make it an easy addition to your Intermediate Reach, Long Haul, or Ultra Long Haul network infrastructure design. The OA5MVM is a complete driver module package with a wide frequency range of 30kHz to more than 65GHz, low power dissipation, ample 7.5V output drive, very low added jitter, fast rise and fall times, and external control.
