Press Release - Production Release of Centellax OA3MHQM

SANTA ROSA, CALIF.----October 29, 2010—

The OA3MHQM is a compact, four channel, high performance, broadband optical modulator driver for 100 G DP-QPSK applications featuring low jitter, 8V amplitude and excellent gain and group delay flatness. It is ideally suited for integration into small form-factor (SFF) transponders.

The OA3MHQM module provides four 32Gb/s channels with GPPO connectors and no external components are required for operation. The module is designed to couple directly with the standard 100 G multiplexer and modulator connector spacings for convenient system integration. The OA3MHQM has gain and power ideally suited for driving either electro-absorption modulators or Lithium Niobate modulators. 

Key features of the OA3MHQM include:

• Quad operating up to 32 Gb/s per channel for 100 G DP-QPSK applications
• Snaps on to OIF Tx modulator and MUX
• Small form factor
• Four 8V outputs
• 0.8ps added RMS jitter
• 8ps rise/fall time
• Hermetically sealed
