News Release
SANTA ROSA, CALIF.----June 9, 2006----Centellax Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of signal integrity test instruments, accessories, and broadband semiconductors and components, announces today the production release of a new 7G clock recovery unit with a wideband 13G option.
The TR1C1-A recovers a full-rate clock from a continually variable electrical serial NRZ input stream with datarates from 622Mbps to 7Gbps; the wide bandwidth option, TR1C1-A-OPT001, operates from 622Mbps to 13.5Gbps.
The unit is compact in size (1.5” x 4.5” x 7”), offers good input sensitivity (75mVpp) and low residual jitter (300fs). The CRU also includes differential input connectors and is GPIB programmable for automated use.
The TR1C1-A is designed for signal integrity lab applications requiring multi-rate clock recovery. It can be used for SFP, fiber, and other photonic applications where polarization mode dispersion affects the data period. The unit can also be used for recovering a clock from degraded data stream, for data recovery and resampling applications.
The CRU is ideally suited to be used with the other signal integrity test products offered by Centellax, specifically the low-cost 10G BERT and PRBS generators.
Dr. Julio Perdomo, CEO of Centellax said "This new product expands our offerings to the signal integrity test market, and is complementary to our existing products. We are excited about the level of interest we’ve seen in this key part of the test system block diagram. Units are available for evaluation almost immediately, please contact us to discuss further."
