Integrated 10 GHz Clock Source
The TG1B1-A has an internal narrow range clock adjustable from 9.85 – 11.35 GHz, allowing testing XFP, SFP+ and QSFP transceivers over a range of 10G data rates without the need for an external clock. For lower data rates, the BERT can operate from 0.5 to 12.5 Gb/s when driven from an external clock. The clock input can be stressed with high levels of jitter for jitter tolerance or general stressed eye testing.
Test Flexibility
The user can select from a choice of PRBS pattern lengths and mark-space densities. The output amplitude is programmable. Inputs and Outputs are differential, but can be operated single ended. For test system automation, the instrument is fully programmable through the included IEEE-488 (GPIB) port. A LabVIEW driver is available to support control in a LabVIEW test program.
