Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Centellax seeks a hardware design engineer with experience in analog, digital and PC board design applicable to high speed instrumentation.
Objective:
To recruit a hardware design engineer with a strong technical background in high speed analog, digital and PC board design that is willing to become a technical leader in the development of various state of the art instruments and accessories used in signal integrity applications.
Responsibilities:
The hardware design engineer position will play a leadership role in the design, development and manufacturing of new instrument products targeting signal integrity testing. This is a unique opportunity for a strong technical contributor who wants to work with a team of experienced, motivated, and creative engineers to develop innovative products that offer low cost and high performance to our customers.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Develops design requirements from product specifications
- Propose solutions, prove concepts, evaluate new technologies and design trade-offs
- Design circuit boards that contain analog/digital, and high-speed devices and circuits
- Specify and design of high-speed signal paths and peripheral support circuits as need (DC power supplies, reference voltages, regulators, A/D,D/A etc.)
- Create and update design documentation, such as functional specifications, layout instructions, reports, test plans and rework instructions
- Board level debugging and testing, system integration, reliability analysis, EMI/EMS/RFI/ESD testing
- Provide project management and leadership to communicate, schedule and track progress in the various aspects of the project
- Understands the issues with current electronic packaging and reasonable familiarity with current manufacturing proc esses
Required Skills and Experience:
- BSEE/MSEE with 5+ years of hardware design engineer experience
- Familiar with analog and digital circuit board design, high speed digital circuits, and microprocessor based system design.
- Good at logical design and debugging, familiar with FPGA device and development tools and Simulation Tools
- Familiar with PCB layout and signal integrity requirement for high speed signals and communication interfaces
- Familiar with various processor, memory, and Bus standards
- Familiar with EMI/EMS/RFI/ESD requirement and testing
- Fundamental understanding of low noise analog to digital and digital to analog conversions processes and techniques
- Experienced in low voltage logic circuit designs
- Experienced with power distribution for high speed logic including ADCs and DACs
- Extensive experience troubleshooting digital and digital/analog circuits
- Experienced with creating tests plans for product evaluation at several levels
- Experienced with clock distribution issues
- Experienced with electrical design and analysis
- Able to produce high quality designs in a timely manner
- Experience with normal laboratory equipment and practices
Required Education:
BSEE is a minimum, MSEE preferred and minimum 5 years relevant experience
