About the position:
Centellax offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer. This is a position reporting to the Director of Operations.
Centellax seeks a professional with experience in the electronics and/or electro-mechanical arena and an extraordinary level of integrity.
Objective:
To recruit an outstanding Senior Buyer to assist with final stages of the implementation of the MRP system, qualify vendors, negotiate prices and contracts, analyze MRP data, process requisitions and orders, interface with internal clients such as engineering and operations departments, actively manage contract manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Buyer reports to the Director of Operations. This is a key support position.
The Senior Buyer is responsible for:
- Generating and analyzing MRP system generated data (including data entry, review, report generation and analysis);
- Review forecast, lead time, pricing with contract manufacturers;
- Qualify vendors and evaluate on an ongoing basis through matrices developed in coordination with the Quality Manager;
- Developing and maintaining vendor relationships;
- Negotiate contracts/Purchase orders or setup competitive bids as appropriate and coordinate the contract documentation with the legal department;
- Provide periodical timely reporting with information regarding variances and deviations, inventory status, contract/bidding status, deliveries status, capacity information;
- Show flexibility and creativity to resolve material shortages or excesses, accelerate or delay deliveries depending on the short term needs and maximize use of resources (storage, cash, etc)
Required Experience:
- 3-4 years of corporate purchasing experience;
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (MAS500, Oracle, SAP, etc.);
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills;
- Proficient with Windows-based software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task;
- Strongly committed to meeting deadlines and budgets.
Required Education:
- 4-year college education with emphasis on business and/or logistics;
- In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, Associate Degrees with relevant courses and extensive experience in the industry will be considered.

Santa Rosa, California
Status:
US Citizen, Green Card holder, or authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
