About the position:
Centellax offers an exciting opportunity for an Applications Engineer to join our Application Engineering team.
Centellax seeks talented, results driven professional with excellent problem solving and communications skills. A competitive compensation package is being offered to the right candidate in addition to stock options.
Responsibilities:
The application engineer will support all customers with signal integrity applications using our components and test products, addressing technical questions or issues, both pre- and post-sale of our products.
Pre-sales tasks include delivering technical presentations on the features and benefits of our solution in customer systems, assisting customers in evaluating and implementing Centellax products, working with the sales group on developing a system sell of all Centellax components as well as feeding competitive data back to marketing.
Post-sales functions include resolving customer problems related to the use of Centellax products and helping their system questions involving Centellax products.
This position will offer superior support for all customers by phone and email. The position will also develop application notes, technical papers, and sales and training presentations.
Qualifications/Education:
Essential:
- Hands-on experience with measurement instrumentation such as bit error rate testers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, synthesizers, clock recovery, and amplifiers.
- In lieu of such experience, the candidate must have the course work and analytical skills to understand the RF and Time Domain measurement and test methodologies used by Centellax products.
- Experience with electrical transmission lines and time domain circuits, and the ability to diagnose and trouble shoot circuits.
- Strong communication skills are required for effective customer support and inside sales support
- Excellent technical and problem solving skills for lab demo’s and customer’s onsite demonstrations
- BS degree, preferred major Electrical Engineering
Desired:
- Minimum 2 years experience in an applications engineering, or product support function.
- MS degree
Location:
Santa Rosa, California
Occasional travel required to customer sites, mostly in the U.S.
Status:
US Citizen, Green Card holder, or authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
